The key to opening your heart to love is GRATITUDE
This is a good start to open your heart to love if you feel bitterness, resentment and frustration creeping in on the daily. I know this about myself because whenever I practice being grateful I feel my heart soften a little. When I focus on the positives of my family and life circumstances, rather than the negatives. I feel a wall dropping, and a gentle flow of energy coming in as I allow love to enter. Love feels like a beautiful expansion in my heart space. What is the key to your heart?
To wake up and live from love, is a choice I make each day. rather than fear, anger, despair or another negative emotion. I used to wake up annoyed with my children because I was tired. If you’re a parent you know, you don’t get a full night’s rest, most days with young children start on the backfoot of feeling tired. Until I made a conscious choice to change my attitude and change my habit of waking up like that. I forced myself to say “good morning darling”, and thank god I did, it changed my whole perspective on love even when I’m tired and have a lot on. It just feels good in my heart. What can you change that would feel better in your heart space?

Cultivate Self-Love
Self love is about accepting yourself for all your parts, the good, the bad, the beautiful and the ugly. A solid foundation of accepting you are human and make mistakes. Compassion for yourself is how you learn to receive love, and being open to accepting love from others, knowing you are worthy of love.
Release Past Hurts
Holding onto past pain creates barriers to new love. Acknowledge and heal from past wounds to free your heart from resentment and fear. This might involve acceptance, forgiveness, therapy, or self-reflection. Releasing these hurts opens up space in your heart for new love to enter.
Practice Vulnerability
Being open to love requires a willingness to be vulnerable. Share your true feelings, fears, and desires with others, even if it feels risky. Vulnerability fosters deep connections and allows love to flow freely between you and others.
Embrace Compassion and Empathy
Cultivating compassion and empathy towards others helps in opening your heart to love. Understand and feel the emotions of those around you, and approach them with kindness. This not only deepens your connections but also expands your capacity to love.
Be Present and Open to New Experiences
Love often comes when you least expect it, so it’s important to stay present and open to new possibilities. Engage fully in the moment, meet new people, and allow yourself to experience the unpredictability of life. Being present helps you recognise and seize opportunities for love.
