When I first learnt about life force energy, I was 21 years old studying Reiki, I was blown away. It was extraordinary! Energy work confirmed for me everything I felt and thought to be true in life.
That I AM an energetic being. And the way I use my energy affects my health, happiness and destiny. My thoughts, feelings and actions affect my energy levels; my Chakras.
Chakras are energy centers in the body and aura.
They are a high vibration of light and sound that come together in a vortice of vibrational frequency or movement that are the foundation of our physical body. Without our energy body we would not exist.
When we hold onto unresolved emotions, memories, thoughts or beliefs, it attaches itself to the physical body, and affects our chakra energy. Each chakra has a corresponding colour, sound and energetic frequency that we can use to heal ourselves and raise our vibration.
The big life lesson of being me, Toni, has been to find trust in myself and in life. I have experienced a lack of trust, the effects of stress, anxiety and depression. Stopping me from enjoying myself, feeling free, and motivated to even dare to dream. I lacked inner peace, self belief and a connection to my body and soul.
I had connection to myself when I was young, but after a few big life experiences; heart break, moving out of home, joining the workforce, the death of friends and family, and having children of my own, all have tested my faith in life and trust in myself.
The biggest problem was that I felt different. That one thought caused me an insurmountable amount of anxiety. How did I fit into this world being me?
Chakra work has been a key part of my healing journey.
It helps me come back home to my body, to feel safe in my body (root chakra) and here at home on magnificent Mother Earth. It has allowed me to feel joy and pleasure, to be creative and spontaneous (sacral chakra). To believe in myself and take action (solar plexus chakra). To open to give and receive love (heart chakra). To speak my truth and express myself (throat chakra) courageously. It has helped me to connect to a greater vision (third eye chakra) and purpose in life. It has brought me into connection with my higher consciousness (crown chakra) and the divine Father Sky.
When I do the work of connecting to myself on a deep energetic level, to release old ways and dream new dreams, I allow myself to heal and grow. And feel free to be me, my whole self, my soul self.
